Attention :: a study that Jack and Aichlinn,University of Limerick Students are running as part of their final year project. Both Aichlinn and Jack are Sport and Exercise science students looking to recruit triathletes between the ages of 20-40 with no prior resistance training experience. The study will involve two bouts of performance testing, all participants will receive an 8-week tailored training plan, athletes that take part will stay fit in their usually scheduled ‘off-season’ and participants will be able to avail of coached resistance sessions and session plans. So, there are a number of reasons and benefits for athletes to take part. I have attached an infographic that would could share on your public and/or private members page to bring our study the triathlon club members. We would greatly appreciate any help as we need to recruit between 20-24 athletes to take part in this study. Aim to begin testing within the next two weeks and athletes who would have to travel a distance would only be required to visit UL on two occasions. Our contact details are included in the infographic along with a bit more detail. If any athlete has any questions or would like to participate please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us. Both Jack and Aichlinn are triathletes and understand the volume and time constraints already associated with the sport, we do believe however that taken part in this study will bring benefits to all involved. We look forward to hearing back from you. Kind Regards, Jack Molloy.
